“A charming 19th century family house in a small village in the hills of Kefalonia turned into an adorable little hotel. Romantic bedrooms and delicious meals served in a flower-filled courtyard.”

The hotel
The George Molfetas Museum Hotel is housed in a historical building dating from the early 1800's, one of the few to survive the devastating earthquakes that struck Kefalonia in 1953. With the supervision of The Hellenic Ministry of Culture, it has been lovingly restored and refurbished by the current owner and manager, Katerina Dima, earning its place on Greece's Register of Historic Buildings. Using natural materials and authentic antique furnishings, the hotel brings history to life for your stay.
"Antidote to mass tourism"
Conceived as an antidote to today's mass tourism, The George Molfetas represents Katerina's dream to create a secret place for rejuvenation of the spirit. In this unique setting she has gathered together all her family's memorabilia and antique furniture, including Persian rugs from the Far East, Murano chandeliers from Venice and Smyrna as well as a library of books on poetry, art and history dating back to the 1800's.
